What cookies and local storage are
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser, often used to keep you signed in or to track you across sites. Local storage is a similar browser feature that lets a site remember settings on your device. Unlike cookies, local storage isn’t sent to our servers with each request.
What we store on your device
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
theme | Local storage (preference) | Remembers whether you chose light or dark mode. Not set if you leave it on System. | Until you change it or clear your browser data |
That’s the complete list. The tools themselves don’t save your files or text in your browser.
What we don’t use
- No cookies of any kind, including sign-in, analytics, or advertising cookies.
- No third-party scripts, tracking pixels, embedded social media widgets, or ad networks.
- No requests to outside font or analytics services. Fonts are served from our own site.
Consent
The theme preference is only saved when you actively choose light or dark mode, and it is used only to show the site the way you asked. Under EU and UK rules, storage that is strictly needed for a feature you request doesn’t require a consent banner.
Your choices
To remove the saved preference, switch the theme back to System, or clear site data in your browser settings. The site works fully either way.
Changes
If we ever add optional cookies or storage, such as analytics, we’ll ask for your consent first and update this page and our privacy policy. Questions? Email privacy@yourdomain.com.
